What is the Memorandum?

The Memorandum is a publication of the Michigan Council for the Social Studies. There are three (3) publications during the school year. This publication is a member benefit and is mailed to all current members of the association, as well as public and private schools throughout the State of Michigan.

How can I receive the Memorandum?

As a member, you will receive each publication of the Memorandum via e-mail. Upon request, the office will mail a hard copy through snail mail.

How can I submit an article?

You must be a current member to contribute articles.  Articles can be related to national social studies news, lesson plans for K-12, pedagogical techniques, and book reviews of social studies related works.

We would like to encourage those with announcements relevant to social studies to submit them as well.

How can I advertise in the Memorandum?

Print advertising is an excellent way to reach the social studies community and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. Ad space is available in several sizes. All publications have a finished trim size of 8½" x 11".
